Hello: I have actually a Gen 1 Chevy 350 in mine 76 Monte. I have actually removed the share heads and also put ~ above vortec heads. Ns am putting a GM vortec input manifold on as well. I"m not sure how old the vortec heads or manifold is however I think they came from a ZZ Crate engine (?). Everyone have any kind of idea what the torque specs space in foot-pounds because that the manifold? Manifold is stamped through GM12486570...I recognize the talk specs won"t be the same as my Haynes hand-operated states, as the heads and also manifold are not stock...Thank friend in advance for any type of help!!

I very recommend those metal Fel-Pro gaskets as well, and also for the front and rear "China Wall" top top the block, use Permatex best STUFF black RTV.I"ve found "Right Stuff" to be much superior to even the "Ultra Black" RTV. The over combo is the ONLY means to paris on Vortec manifolds.Also, clean every the old threadlock turn off of the reduced intake manifold bolts and use Permatex tool Strength (#242) Blue threadlock when re-assembling. With those metal Fel-Pro gaskets, you can go up on the speak spec simply a little over the proclaimed spec. Ns recommend walk a little tighter, nothing stunner though.

The current GM architecture (circa 2004) is renovations to every the fail points that the original design. I have these in every L31 ns take care of and also have not yet had a single failure.
