You are watching: 2008 toyota tacoma 2.7 oil capacity

How much oil for 2.7 liter 4 Cyl?The hands-on calls because that 5.7 quarts that oil because that the 2.7 liter 4 cyl when an altering the oil and also the filter. The first time I adjusted the oil ns filled the up with 5.7 quarts and it was appropriate on the full mark. However, strangely enough, the critical time ns filled the crankcase v the exact same amount of oil, it was over filled about 1/4" over the full line. Yesterday after I readjusted the oil and also filter, i filled the crankcase v 5.4 quarts of oil and also it was still overfilled around 1/4" above the full line. On every one of my various other Toyotas, the lot of oil specified in the manual brought the oil as much as the full line everytime.Does anyone else here have the same experiences through the 2.7? If not, exactly how much oil does anyone else pour in to lug it up to the full line?
2.7L oil change
I always just placed in exactly 5 quarts. This carried the oil level ~ above the dipstick to the 3/4 full area.I had 100000 miles on her when I sold her yesterday and never a problem.Just dump lock in and go!
I fill my 2.4L with around 4.8 qts. Every change, and also the spec calls for 5.2 qts.Just remember the you can"t drainpipe every little of oil, if i were you I"d fill with 5 qts., check it, then add an ext if necessary.
