I am trying to find some aid identifying a collection of spoons i own. Lock have been in my family members for a long time and I would prefer to discover the manufacturer and also approximate year i m sorry they were made. I have what seems to it is in the original package in which they were distributed. The only writing on the exterior of package is top top a brand which is damaged, only about 65% is legible. As much as I deserve to tell the sticker reads;1 Doz. ASHLEY (possible absent character in former of the "A") FFEE SP (obviously "COFFEE SPOONS")1877

On come the spoons themselves. They have 2 various markings top top the back. One is a set of numbers and letters towards the middle of the handle reading "1877 N.F. CO". I"m suspect is the year that design and the manufacturer. Does the "N.F." was standing for Niagara Falls? I have no idea. They room the only manufacturer I"ve to be able to come up with that has corresponding initials.

The other noting is top top the area where the cup of the spoon meets the manage (please forgive me if mine terminology is incorrect) and also looks to it is in a prize of one eye possibly. It consists of a diamond v a one in the middle of it.

Any assist would be considerably appreciatedThanks

I forgot to ask around the pattern as well. I assume the "ASHLEY" on the lable is the surname of the pattern. Any kind of thoughts?

Hello.I think your note "1877 N.F. CO" to be a trademark of Oneida Silversmiths. Yes, the NF stands for Niagara Falls. The Niagara Silver firm was flourished by Wm. A. Rogers Ltd. About 1900.Not certain what 1877 refers to, however it is not the day of manufacture.Oneida aquired this trademark once they purchase Wm. A. Rogers Ltd. In 1929.Pat.
